“Deeply thoughtful philosophical musings wrapped in thick, hooky indie rock.” - BIG TAKEOVER

NEW ALBUM “FAST WE FALL” IS OUT!

Founded by songwriter Drew Patrizi, who gained recognition as a founding member of the Austin, Texas-based band What Made Milwaukee Famous (Barsuk Records), Trumpeter Swan delivers new LP Fast We Fall, an album The Big Takeover applauds as “immaculately layered indie rock,” Glide Magazine describes as “a record where urgent, crackling energy contrasts a pervasive sense of world-weariness,” and Ghettoblaster calls“Punchy. Poppy. Powerful.”

“Pulling off immaculately layered indie rock that still has hooks takes considerable skill,” The Big Takeover elaborates, “Drew Patrizi demonstrates said with aplomb.” Austin’s KUTX 98.9 recently featured single “American Dream” as the Song of the Day, calling the new album “Seriously sophisticated stuff…these new tunes hit hard, both streaming and on-stage.”

A move back to Austin and a reincarnation of the live band—including John Aldridge (The Black and White Years) on bass, Aaron Castillo on drums, and George Bonner on guitar—has Trumpeter Swan poised to expand its three album trove of “precious and melodic indie tunes”(Austinist) to new audiences.

The Big Takeover summarizes the new album as “deeply thoughtful philosophical musings wrapped in thick, hooky indie rock, Fast We Fall feels custom made for [the moment].”
